Tips on a Successful Event

  • Be on time! Plan to arrive within the set-up time and have your table ready for attendees.
  • Purchase a tablecloth with your logo printed on it, standard size is 6 ft. for most events.
  • Have your elevator speech polished and ready. A typical attendee will be in front of you for 30-60 seconds.
  • Brand your table, have your brand colors and logo on your table, all handouts, etc. People need to “hear” your company name 7 times before they remember it. Speak it, have it written, and send them home with it. *Be sure you say your name in your elevator speech!
  • Offer something small and impactful to attract people to your table (e.g. fun giveaways, a cute game, treats, etc.
  • Give them something they can take with them that will remind them who you are and what you have to offer them. *Bring your favorite materials and have plenty of copies.
  • Get to know your fellow vendors, they may be potential customers, have referrals, and/or offer an opportunity to collaborate.
  • Don’t stay behind your booth, be part of your booth, stand in front of your booth, it shows you’re more welcoming and friendly. Attendees are more willing to visit your booth if you welcome them.
  • If you need to work on your laptop, don’t forget to Welcome and smile at each person that passes your booth. If you’re focused on your laptop, attendees don’t want to interrupt you and will quietly walk past your booth.
  • Bring yourself water and snacks so you can limit time away from your booth. Especially for longer events. Stepping away from your booth will happen and is understandable, but limit your booth being unmanned as much as possible. *Reminder, you are responsible for your own material, do not leave personal items unattended. If you have questions or concerns please contact a representative from Corporate Wellness Productions.
